“It is more through our works that we spread ideas, rather than through ourselves”
Franco Albini (1905 – 1977) was a neo-rationalist architect and designer, best known for his furniture designs. His now famous 1928 Albini Desk alongside his works exhibited at the Milan Triennale in 1930 enabled him to achieve widespread recognition. Albini’s signature style is a combination of function, ergonomics, and geometric shapes, to create striking contours. Working with Knoll, Arfelx, and Poggi, Albini also produced industrial designs, interiors, and architecture on public/civic projects. His work can be seen at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
